Water day experiments in Slovenia

In our project we explored all the aspects of clean water, usage of water and pollution of water in our environment.

We wanted to find out what chemicals which pollute the environment can
be replaced with natural, biodegradable substances and what we have to do to preserve and save water.

HOW DO FLOWERS DRINK?
We found out how water (colored with food coloring) travels through the flowers. Clean water is very important for the transportation of nutrients and waste products through flowers, which are autotrophs in our ecosystems and are the beginning of the food chain.

HOW TO MAKE CLEANING BOMBS FROM BICARBON SODA?
We figured out how to naturally divide lipids in water and as a result get clean water. 

JUMPING EGG FROM VINEGAR SOLUTION
We researched how to remove (with substances from natural ingredients like vinegar) limescale and other compounds from calcium and carbonats that accumulate in electrical and other appliances . The eggshell was a source of calcium carbonate. We removed the shell from calcium carbonate and made a bouncing ball.
